Zymir Brunson
Here is the link to JME's Record-a-thon Jam Session at The Boom Room Studio with Zymir as the male performer. He is a Jazz singer at Temple and is virtually able to sing over any instrumental, he says. This will be good as a performer or even if we decide to do some cool stuff (think minimalistic(?) ex. Philip Glass) and maybe have him help with some splicing of vocals and different sounds through a cloud platform - https://youtu.be/MU4JuFcCSHI

GLBLVLLG
Music and Wellness Company. I believe they could help out with performance portion. They hold open mics with a band where they lead a cypher of vocalist . Also they can lead a hand with speaking about making revenue through music doing different musical avenues. POSSIBLE CO-HOST

No problem! So far I think our team includes just e o and I so I will keep updating. Also, any one else getting this notification(there's only a few core people!) feel free to update with some artists you come across and a link. I will keep a more concise list of all ideas and will be sure to give the idea a boost :)

As an update on this, I am working on the database for all youth music and tech schools where we can get some feedback from local students. I believe we will execute this presentation style with maybe a survey at the end? what do you think, O, Artist at Ock the WIzard O  ?

Ashley - can you put the list of potential artists on a Google sheet database. This will make it easier to add their contact info, social media, and decision for 2019.

Anthony suggested we add Mathew Law (DJ, producer, technology enthusiast, etc) to the potential artist list.

Ock - Here are suggestions for in-person and online survey questions for students

  • Would you attend a teen music + tech festival? Yes or No
  • How much would you pay for a festival pass? $10 $20 $40 Other
  • What technology companies or products would you like to be showcased at the festival (need help with this one… open ended or multiple choice or select top 3)
  • What 3 artists would you like to see perform?
  • Are you interested in joining the planning team? Yes (email and cell phone) or No
  • Would you like to be a volunteer at the festival? Yes (email and cell phone) or No
  • Do you want to receive email and text updates? Yes (email and cell phone) or No

Ashley - can you schedule 3 visits to partnering programs or schools for 30 minute think tanks. Here is a suggested agenda:

  • JME intro
  • Festival intro (idea origin, goals, planning process, and team)
  • Feedback (our ideas and your input on name, logo, artist, technology, components)
  • Join a Team
  • Next Steps

Thanks!

Another Update: Overeasy is interested in performing at the preview event in May, check them out here on Spotify: overeasy (EP is House Plant)

**The music is really dope on their EP and there may need to be some censoring that will hardly be noticed since the cussing is at a minimum. I brought my two younger(18 and 19) cousins to the release party and they thought the music was good.

Also, an idea I had is reaching out to Temple to see if their BEEP band can perform. BEEP( Boyer college Electroacoustic Ensemble Project) uses different styles. - "We function in varied modalities: from a laptop orchestra, to fusion of computers and traditional instruments, to an electronic music band. BEEP uses the laptop orchestra model, an ensemble of computer-based meta-instruments, as but one of many possible modes of music making using computers and other electronics." - BEEP Bio

**My old professor, Adam Vidiksis, is in charge of the band and I will reach out to see what is needed to get the band on board. (I figured this could score us points with the Technical.ly PTW application and maybe use them as part of the expo.)
